One Sunday in August...

my nephew had a birthday party. And for once it was actually sunny out in Oslo, so I dressed in my Sunday brightest and headed out to party! Upon arrival my 8 year old nephew asked me why I had dressed like sunshine... Too cute to not go in the blog!!!

Detox part 2

So it's been two weeks of this detox thing and it's going quite well! Apart from the occasional chocolate splurge, I'm managing to steer clear from all things alcoholic, gluten and dairy. Yay me!

Went a bit overboard the other day when I found this little puppy at Deli de Luca... I remember when they stopped selling the Peanut Butter Kitkat bar in Oz and it totally devastated me, luckily they seem to still be producing them in the UK. Hooray!

Malaysia part 1

Due to my endless complaining over the shitehouse weather in Oslo, I've decided to take matter into my own hands and go where the sun never sets (or at least it's pretty warm all the time...) The success of our last trip resulted in the longing for more, so Anna and myself will be venturing to Malaysia in October! KL watch out!!!

Annoying sunny people...

So it's the first sunny day in like, er ..., forever. Norwegian summer is truly crappy! Have I mentioned this before?
Anyways, i digress...

So I'm walking in the gorgeous weather and am literally attacked by Amnesty International troopers... I know women should have the right to abort if they so choose, but 8 (!) people telling me this on my way to work is a bit over the top I reckon.

Day one of month-long detox...

... and already I'm bored...

So I suppose I'll be a boring fart for the next month and feed my veggie addiction(?)!

Detox reasons being:
- I want to go to Malaysia in October
- Alcohol consumption in Norway is waaay higher than practically everywhere else
- Cost of alcohol consumption in Norway is waaay higher than anywhere and everywhere else
- I have no money to finance Norwegian alcohol consumption
- I am fat
- I work practically every night anyways
- I want to be skinny and rich in Malaysia...

So there you go. Carrots and cucumbers for me!

My summer soundtrack

Perfect for rainy mornings...

Lazy rainy morning...

This morning I got up and made myself some coffee.
Ate a mango while I watched an episode of Heroes.
Made some more coffee and ate some cereal while I watched another episode of Heroes.
Made a To Do list.
Watched yet another episode of Heroes.
Had a shower and decided to start my day.

Sucky blogger...

So apparently, even though all the cool kids are doing it, I seem to be completely incapable of updating this thing...
It's been, er..., months and I totally admit to being a crap blogger!

In the meantime it seems like summer has come and gone in Norway. With a wicked heat wave that lasted approximately 2 weeks and then a 2 week rain spur I am now sitting inside in Blah! weather wondering if I can be bothered moving from my chair at all today or just admit defeat and stay indoors...

At least I got to see Eryah Badu this week!!! (Coolest chick every! No, seriously. EVER!)
And I had a long lost friend come stay with me for a couple of days. (Yaay!)
And I took her to all my favorite eating establishments. (I'm addicted to eating out...)
And I hung out with my brother one on one and drank waaay too much wine. (And helped him build a shed, who would have thought...)
And I have bought tickets to go see Madonna(!) and Harry Potter. (Excitement!)

So all in all I guess I've had a bit of excitement this week. Perhaps I deserve a nice relaxing day indoors with my good friends at CSI NY? I think so!

Spring!!! Or not...

So March in Norway... Correct me if I'm worng cause it's been a while but it rarely snows the very last weekend in March. Just yeasterday the sun was shining, the birds were a chirping etc. I'd thrown my thickest, warmest of coats in a bag and planned to keep it there till at least October.
And I moved house yesterday as well. This morning I was all psyched about strolling to the tram station, wearing my thinner red spring coat and sunnies. Let me just tell you the illusion was shattered instantly upon opening my drapes! Oslo is once again whit. Completely WHITE! Once again public transport has gone haywire alongside your newly blowdried hair... I was simply not in the mood for this!!!

However the morning changed for the better when I arrived at work and a huge tub (HUGE TUB) of Dulce de Leche was placed nicely on my desk. All the way from Argentina! Untill you've eaten Dulce de Leche you simply have not lived.

Blogging that is! Apparently…

So I figured I might as well jump on the blogging train. Nobody likes being left at the station.!

I plan on making this a highly random place for all my scattered thoughts and wonky ideas and everything inbetween. And while we’re on the topic of cool kids blogging, I was inspired by a good friend blogger. She writes about the cutest things ever and I wanted in!
